संदर्भ

चिन्ना किस्ना की कथा बाबा के दक्षिण-भारत-पहुँच का सर्वोत्तम-दर्ज उदाहरण है। उन्हें उत्तोलन-शक्ति (levitation) से शिरडी ले जाया गया, ग्राम का नाम पूछा, और मस्जिद ले जाये गये जहाँ बाबा फैले पैरों के साथ बैठे थे। उन्होंने बाबा के चरणों पर सिर रखा। बाबा उठ खड़े हुए: 'क्या तुम मेरा दर्शन लेते हो? मैं तुम्हारा ऋणी हूँ; मुझे तुम्हारा दर्शन लेना है।' बाबा ने चिन्ना किस्ना के चरणों पर अपना सिर रखा।

1936 के बयान के विषय में

नरसिंह स्वामी संग्रह के भाग 1 में दर्ज पूर्णतः विस्तृत बयानों में से एक। आयी (एक स्थानीय भक्तिनी) के यहाँ ठहरकर 'साईं' नाम का जप करना — और बाबा द्वारा बाद में पूछना: 'तुमने क्या जप किया?' — 'अपने ईश्वर का।' — 'तुम्हारा ईश्वर कौन?' — 'आप जानते हैं।' बाबा मुस्कुराकर: 'यह ठीक है।'

Sai could never have been written by this writer. DEVOTEES’ EXPERIENCES I 11th June, 1936 Chinna Kistna Rajasaheb Bahadur, B.A., L.L.B., Saraswath aged about 50, interior of India, says: I look upon Sri Sai Baba as the Creator, Preserver and De stroyer. I did so before his Mahasamadhi in 1918 and I do so now. To me, he is not gone. He is, even now. To me, he had no limitations. Of course, when he was with us, there was the fleshy tabernacle. That was prominently brought to our notice at times. But mostly the infinite aspect of His was what remained before me. I thought of him as a mental or spiritual image, in which the finite blended very perfectly - yet allowing the finite to appear before us at times. Now that the body has been cast off the infinite alone remains, as ‘Sai Baba’. I am not after metaphysics and philosophical conundrums. Sai Baba occasionally talked in mystic language and used parables freely - which however, were constructed in widely different ways by different listeners. Once he talked to me in the mystic way and asked me whether I understood him. I said ‘No’. Others were present then.
